Zzzzzzz

We now realize that we were spoiled with Annabelle and her sleeping through the night when she was about 10 weeks old. She has always been a fantastic sleeper and often times I am waking her up at 8am to get ready for school on time. We did everything the same with Madeleine that we did for Annabelle and began a bedtime routine very early on but this little girl was a wee bit different. She had colic for months that began a few weeks after she was born where she was so uncomfortable from 8-11 every night. Some nights Madeleine would sleep through the night but this past year on most nights we got up with her once because she was so hungry. Thankfully, she would fall right asleep after a feeding and sleep until about 8am. She has not been the best eater and I think this may have contributed to her waking up at night. I did quite a bit of reading on sleep, eating and colic and learned that often times when a baby had colic, it will take them a looooong time to start sleeping through the night. In one book I remember it saying that around a year, things will begin to settle and babies will begin sleeping through the night. Here I am busy planning for Madeleine's upcoming first birthday and our little Madeleine has slept through the night for the past week!!! All we can say is hallelujah and thank you Madeleine!
