jon and stefanie: Weekend Solo

Jon's mom is in town for a week visiting us. Jon planned for us to go away for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Nannie watched the girls for us while we were gone. Jon and I enjoyed having some much needed down time. Friday afternoon we drove to Fredericksburg. We stopped at a winery on the way. We stayed the Cameron Inn Bed and Breakfast and enjoyed dinner at The Rosehill Manor in Stonewall. We stayed at this particular bread and breakfast the last time Jon's mom watched the girls for us and enjoyed it very much that we couldn't wait to go back. They have a fantastic dinner and we really loved it again this year. The next day we drove to San Antonio and spent the day at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and had lots of fun riding the roller coasters. It was the perfect time to go because it was one of the last weekends that the park was open for the season and it was empty which meant zero waiting time for the rides. Next year, we will bring along the girls as they would have a blast. That night we stayed at La Cantera and stumbled upon a fantastic churrascaria called Chama Gaucha for dinner. The next day we headed back home. It was really nice to have some alone time and to sleep in. Thank you Nannie very much for watching the girls for us. And a big thank you to Jon for making my birthday so special yet again!
